Tara was born and raised in inner city Birmingham. She started performing at a young age and never questioned a career in the world of theatre. She moved to London for an Undergraduate in Theatre Arts at Goldsmiths and went on to train at LISPA (A Lecoq school) in devised theatre and physical performance.

She was the Associate Director at Punchdrunk Enrichment from 2016 - 2021 and remains an Associate Artist at the company where she regularly writes and directs immersive projects for children, communities and schools.
